Cogsy vs Prediko
Prediko is an inventory planning app: forecasts, reorder recommendations, purchase orders, transfers and bills of materials. It keeps a unit cost per supplier and reports landed and FIFO cost of goods from purchase order data. Cogsy plans no stock and raises no orders. It keeps the cost record and writes the figure you choose to Shopify.

How Prediko handles product cost
Prediko reads unit cost from Shopify in the store currency and shows it as 'Unit Cost (Shopify)'; a separate 'Unit Cost (Prediko)' can be saved per supplier in supplier settings, from a finalised order, or by Excel import, and can be overridden on a purchase order. Its help center says a purchase order keeps the unit cost as it was when created. Reports define landed cost as unit cost including extra costs set on purchase orders, and a COGS (FIFO) report matches sales to the oldest batches first, using a weighted average when a sale spans batches. Gross Profit % in the buy table is calculated from the Shopify unit cost. None of the pages read say Prediko writes cost back to Shopify; the help article says to update the unit cost in Shopify and resync.
What Prediko does that Cogsy does not
- Demand forecasting and reorder recommendations
- Purchase order creation and management
- Inventory transfers, stock take and barcode labels
- Raw materials and bill of materials
- FIFO COGS and landed COGS reports from purchase order data
- Stocky migration of suppliers and purchase orders

Questions
- Is Cogsy an alternative to Prediko?
- No. Prediko handles purchasing and stock, which Cogsy does not. Cogsy is an alternative only if what you need is the cost record and not an inventory system.
- Can I use Cogsy and Prediko together?
- Prediko reads the unit cost held in Shopify and shows it beside its own. Cogsy can be where that Shopify cost is maintained and dated.
- How much does Prediko cost?
- From $49 to $199 a month, with an enterprise plan, as shown on its Shopify App Store listing on 8 October 2026. Check the listing for current pricing.
- Does Prediko keep a history of cost changes?
- Prediko's listing and help pages do not mention one. Cogsy records every cost as a dated row with a source, and a row is never edited or deleted.
