Cogsy vs CostPulse

CostPulse is a diagnostic: it scans products and recent orders, shows revenue whose margin is unknown and flags low and negative-margin orders. Its listing describes the costs you enter as temporary, for a scan. Cogsy is where costs are kept: dated, by source, and written to Shopify.

Questions

Is Cogsy an alternative to CostPulse?
For keeping product costs right, yes: both work on the cost of each variant, in different ways. The table on this page shows where they differ.
Can I use Cogsy and CostPulse together?
They cover much of the same ground, so most stores would choose one. If you use both, decide which of them writes to Shopify's cost per item so they do not overwrite each other.
How much does CostPulse cost?
$29 a month, as shown on its Shopify App Store listing on 8 October 2026. Check the listing for current pricing.
Does CostPulse keep a history of cost changes?
CostPulse's listing and help pages do not mention one. Cogsy records every cost as a dated row with a source, and a row is never edited or deleted.
