Cogsy vs Ablestar Bulk Product Editor
Ablestar is a general bulk product editor with previews, undo, recurring edits and supplier inventory sync. On cost, its help pages describe setting prices from cost and filtering by profit margin. Cogsy is narrower and deeper: it only handles cost, with a history, sources, costs on top and bundles.

How Ablestar Bulk Product Editor handles product cost
The App Store listing does not mention cost per item. Ablestar's help article on price fields describes two price edits driven by cost: set the price to a percentage of the cost (variants with an empty cost are skipped) and set the price as cost plus a fixed amount. The changelog shows the app's field called Cost was renamed 'Cost per item' to match the Shopify admin, and the search-tips article lists a 'Profit margin' custom filter. The help center's list of key editable fields does not include cost, so direct bulk editing of the cost field is not confirmed by the pages read.
